  • In FCI Seagoville prison, more than 1,300 of the about 1,750 inmates have tested positive for the coronavirus infection, according to data from the federal Bureau of Prisons
  • This makes it the hardest-hit federal prison by the coronavirus outbreak in the US
  • So far, three inmates have died from COVID-19 complications at the prison
  • Some inmates complained to CNN in phone interviews about the crowded conditions in the prison, making social distancing impossible
  • A spokesperson of the BOP, however, said the agency distributed cloth masks to every inmate and guard in the prison, and commenced mass testing of inmates by late June
