Joseph Williamson

Joseph Williamson, RDMS has over 3 decades of clinical experience and 2 decades of international healthcare consulting, education and training. His primary focus is with Hospital Groups in Africa and the Caribbean, evaluating clinical gaps in protocols and assessing medical educational needs while aiding them in the redesign of sustainable metrics focused on improving their patient care delivery, patient-family engagement, and labor force retention.

Joseph Williamson brings exceptional expertise in medical management, and interdisciplinary medical certification programs. He is also a specialist in diagnostic imaging protocols, and overseeing medical process improvement projects. He has consulted for US hospitals as well as hospitals and medical institutions in Caribbean and Africa that are seeking to improve their patient care and employee engagement processes.

Mr. Williamson serves as the medical manager for two 24-hour high-volume, multi-functional imaging centers that medically support a host of obstetric, maternal-fetal, invasive, pediatrics/neonatal, perinatal physicians, in the Washington DC area. His responsibilities include ensuring that Joint Commission, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), and American College of Radiology (ACR) accreditation standards are maintained. Mr. Williamson is also the liaison between the hospital system and the numerous Point of Care physicians. He also is a consultant for the Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement (APCA) with focus on establishing certification parameters for healthcare professional in Africa caring for patients in point of care emergency room medicine.

Mr. Williamson’s experience in administration, as a clinician, and as an educator has allowed him to implement PIP projects that have increased patient engagement scores and reduced ambulatory patient throughput times. He has given numerous presentations on topics that range from patient satisfaction, employee engagement and retention, clinical obstetric maternal-fetal management, radiology telemedicine utilization, and establishing best practices in medical protocol.
