At the end of February, Carol Gilmore, GHA surveyor and consultant, and Bill Cook presented three workshops in three of Colombia's most important cities: Bogotá, Medellín and Cali. Organized in collaboration with Coomeva, one of the largest cooperatives in Colombia, focused on sectors such as healthcare, tourism and finance, and a pioneer in medical travel, GHA presented to hospitals and clinics about medical travel best practices and the GHA accreditation program. The workshops were presented in Spanish and included participation from Colombia's top hospitals and clinics focused on medical travel. Carol and Bill also had the opportunity to visit several hospital facilities and observe the services provided to medical travel patients. GHA looks forward to supporting Colombia's thriving medical travel sector.
