As a director of both AHERJ (the Hospital Association of the state of Rio de Janeiro) and FBH (Brazilian national Hospital Federation) Dr Graccho Alvim is nationally recognized not only for his television appearances during the COVID 19 pandemic but also for his active participation in International conferences and seminars, among them presentations with IHF (International Hospital Foundation) Frontiers of Rheumatology at UCLA, and others.
Working on an International scale naturally led to an interest in, and exploration of, how Brazil can best serve the global healthcare industry. Dr Alvim is also President of STEMS (Society of Travel and Medical Education), a Brazil based NGO that is actively partnering with other members in the CPLP (Community of Portuguese Language Countries) to facilitate the smooth flow of quality medical services.
