This hybrid virtual and on-site accreditation process is performance-based, practical, and offers comprehensive online training as an integral and complimentary component of the process. Hotel Meets Foundational Requirements

To be eligible for GHA WellHotel® Accreditation, the hotel or resort must meet the Foundational Requirements.

Facility Submits Application

An online application will be completed by the facility upon the decision to move forward with the accreditation process and payment will be taken to continue.

Facility Receives Accreditation Materials

The hotel or resort will receive access to a secure web portal that includes the accreditation handbook and instructions for proceeding with the accreditation.

Training on the Program Elements

Hotel management and staff will have access to an instructional video on how to implement the program elements.

Documentation Submitted

The facility will submit requested documentation for review by the GHA WellHotel® Accreditation Compliance Team.

Secret Shopper On-Site Evaluation

To achieve GHA WellHotel® Accreditation, the property should comply with the standards in person as well as virtually through our customized secret shopper program that allows our Compliance Team first-hand experience into your wellness, medical travel, and/or corporate well-being programs.

The GHA WellHotel® Accreditation Program for hotels serving medical travel/tourism guests is based on best practice standards and measurable elements. This Implementation Guidance document is structured in a manner where specific requirements referred to as the "elements,” are stated in a frame-box with the guidance and interpretation below.
