Foundational Requirements for WellHotel® for Medical Travel Accreditation
Properties must meet the foundational requirements listed below to be considered for accreditation:
- Bathrooms with no less than three plumbing fixtures (ie., sink, toilet, and/or shower)
- Hot and cold water at lavatory and shower/bath faucets available at all times
- Combination of double and king beds available for guest reservations
- In-room electronics include a flat-screen television with remote control, technology charging stations, telephone and alarm clock
- Restaurant with room service ending no earlier than 9 pm and a menu or service that includes healthful options or can meet the unique dietary requirements for recovering patients as needed.
- Business center with at least one computer and printer available for guest use
- Wireless internet access available throughout the property
- Registration and checkout service available 24/7 with the manager on duty at all times
- Well-maintained and clean physical environment to include: clean wall and ceiling paint; clean carpets with no evidence of major stains; pleasant-smelling public areas and guest rooms; working light fixtures in all public areas and guest rooms; clean upholstery
- Adequate self-parking or valet-parking to accommodate a full hotel
