Ryan D. Black, DO is a board-certified otolaryngologist and facial plastic surgeon with over two decades of experience in diagnosing and treating conditions of the ears, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck.
He earned his medical degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri, where he also served as an anatomy instructor, building a strong foundation for his surgical career. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery at Oklahoma State University in Tulsa, with additional training at leading institutions including the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles, the Hough Ear Institute in Oklahoma City, and the Haymaker Head & Neck Oncology Team in Indianapolis.
Dr. Black has developed advanced expertise across a range of procedures, including endoscopic sinus surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, allergy treatment, cosmetic injectables, and laser therapies. He is also highly experienced in Inspire Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulator implantation for patients with obstructive sleep apnea who are unable to tolerate CPAP therapy.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Black has contributed extensively to medical education, serving as a lecturer at Pacific Northwest University for over a decade and teaching Medical English to physicians at the National University of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. His commitment to patient-centered care has been recognized with honors such as the Patient Experience Award at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Black currently practices in Gillette, Wyoming, where he also serves as a member of the Wyoming State Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.
