GHA’s accreditation seal validates that the hospital or ambulatory center has implemented best practices against the GHA Standards 4.1 (accredited by ISQUA) focusing on three main competencies: Patient Experience, Sustainable Business Practices and Patient-Focused Clinical Processes.

3-day accreditation survey for hospitals and 2-day survey for ambulatory centers. However, we have recently begun to offer a remote survey option, which may add one more day to the survey but with shorter daily sessions.
$20,000 - $25,000 USD for hospitals plus a $3,000 USD annual license fee paid on the effective anniversary date of GHA accreditation in the ensuing two years. $16,000 - $18,000 USD for ambulatory centers with a $2,000 USD annual license fee.

Build Patient Confidence and Trust. Provide a third-party external validation that your medical travel program has effective systems, work processes and protocols in place to mitigate risk, facilitating the confidence and trust of patients, buyers and key stakeholders.
Communication with Patients. Facilitate transparency with patients by communicating appropriate and specific protocols for travel and accommodation prior to and post travel, as well as during admission and treatment, including testing and visitor guidelines.
Education & Training. Educate and train medical travel program staff by providing guidance on work protocols, processes and systems designed to mitigate risk and facilitate safety, along the entire care continuum, including pre-arrival, travel, admission, treatment and post discharge.

The GBAC star/GHA joint accreditation for Hotels provides medical and wellness travel guests (and their companions) assurance and peace of mind that the property complies with recognized industry-wide hotel cleaning and sanitation standards required by COVID-19, as well as customer experience and safety protocols specific to the needs and expectations of medical travel and wellness guests.

Providing a third-party survey review and trusted joint GBAC STAR/GHA seal to accredited hotels that builds trust, confidence, and comfort for medical travel and wellness guests.
Assisting medical travel and wellness guests to understand and use appropriate safety protocols for travel and accommodation prior to and post travel, as well as during treatment.
Providing assurance to medical travelers and wellness guests that the hotel meets the cultural, dietary, religious, handicapped access, and other unique needs of the guests/patients.
Ensuring protocols are in place to manage medical emergencies of medical travel and wellness guests at the hotel.
Increasing the confidence of medical travel and wellness guests in selecting an infectious disease-free hotel, and to feel comfortable during their stay.
