The Accreditation Process

This virtual accreditation is performance-based, practical, and offers comprehensive online training as an integral and complimentary component of the process. Hotels seeking to gain the trust and confidence of guests obtain a strong foundation of work practices and protocols that are sustainable over time.

Hotel Meets Foundational Requirements

To be eligible for GHA WellHotel® Accreditation, the hotel or resort must meet the Foundational Requirements.

Facility Submits Application

An online application will be completed by the facility upon the decision to move forward with the accreditation process and payment will be taken to continue.

Facility Receives Accreditation Materials

The hotel or resort will receive access to a secure web portal that includes the accreditation handbook and instructions for proceeding with the accreditation.

Training on the Program Elements

Hotel management and staff will have access to an instructional video on how to implement the program elements.

Documentation Submitted

The facility will submit requested documentation for review by the GHA WellHotel® Accreditation Compliance Team.

Cleaning and Sanitation

To achieve GHAWellHotel® Accreditation, the hotel or resort should provide evidence that it complies with recognized industry-wide hotel cleaning and sanitation standards.

Facility is Officially Accredited

The facility becomes officially accredited and receives the official seal and certificate.
